What are Close Care Plus Apartments?

For those who may need nursing care in the future but do need domestic or personal help, a close care apartment at Park View is a great solution.   Here, you can live in an apartment, with your own front door, living room with kitchenette, ensuite shower room and bedroom.   Residents subscribe to a package, which includes food, inclusive of all meals, soft drinks, tea and coffee, all heating, lighting,  water & utilities including Council Tax and a daily cleaning and laundry service.

All residents  benefit from the care and support services and facilities which are paid via a service charge. You would also have access to many extra services tailored to your needs and monitored by a care plan, which is determined during an assessment of your needs prior to admission

On the top floor of Park View there are 17 self-contained one and two bedroomed apartments, each with a separate bedroom and ensuite shower room and a living/dining area with a galley-style kitchen where residents can live as independently, or with as much support, as they require.

Facilities

We believe that the apartments at Park View are best suited to those people who are still quite independent and we have made the assumption that you will be able to shower or wash and dress yourself. We also assume that you are able to make a cup of tea and a light snack using the provisions we have stocked your kitchenette with.   Your breakfast, lunch time and evening meal are prepared for you, and can be eaten in the communal lounge dining room, or in your own apartment as you wish.   There is an assisted bathroom where staff can help you enjoy a soak,  and a domestic laundry room where you can do your own washing and ironing, with or without support if you do not wish to send your washing to our main laundry.

If you need any further help with your activities of daily living, we will be able to provide this with our onsite staff, and have a range of packages of care with different fee levels to suit your needs,  however should your care requirements increase beyond the scope of the staffing ratio, we may request that you transfer to another room in the home, where we can better meet your needs.

Close Care Apartments – Fees and Care Packages

Of the 17 Apartments, one has two bedrooms, and the remainder have one.  Because they range from smaller to larger sizes, and have different aspects, the weekly rental fee varies;

The rental fees for the Apartments start at £335 per week.  A weekly service charge of £105.00  is added which covers all your food (within the planned menu), heating, lighting, utilities, laundry and housekeeping fees.

You can see that the lowest fee also includes a Starting Care Package, this would include some minor support with personal care, some support at mealtimes, assistance with medication, night checks etc.   If you need any further help with your activities of daily living, we will be able to provide this with our onsite staff, and have a range of packages of care with different fee levels to suit your needs (available on request).

Should you require extra care we can put in place a further package, which approximates to an increment of about an extra 5 hours per week.  If the assistance you require starts to regularly exceed the very high package of care we may request that you transfer to one of the en-suite bedrooms in the home, where we can better meet your needs and keep you safe.  This is due to the layout of the home, and in order to keep the top floor as vibrant a community as possible, and where our staffing numbers will be limited.
