Park View opens its doors to 25 new recruits

State-of-the-art care home opening in Gloucester in August 2016, has opened its doors to induct 25 new starters who are joining the Park View team.

Charlotte Potter, Home Manager for Park View welcomed the new starters:

“We’ve had a great day introducing our first wave of 25 new staff to the home to begin their induction training. Tony and Paul Markey met with the team and introduced them to the wider Markey Group.”

Some of the recruits came from Gloucestershire college who had run a Sector Based Work Academy for potential staff using Park View Gloucester as reference, some of those students were also being mentored by Prospect.

Many of the new staff recruited came through the Park View website and hoarding information.  Other staff have come through word of mouth and personal experience of working with the care homes Deputy manager and Clinical Lead, Lorna Robinson.

 Charlotte Potter commented:

“We anticipate to be at our full quota of 150 plus staff in 12 – 18 months. Park View is aiming to provide 'a home for life' in which individuals flourish and thrive. Our holistic approach will be dedicated to meeting the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs of all the residents. We are delighted to welcome the first wave of recruits to the Park View team.”

Park View is ideally-situated in the centre of Gloucester in an area of urban regeneration adjacent to Gloucester Quays and with secure, direct access to the city's park which is next to the home. Recruitment for other positions is also well underway and more new recruits will be starting work and training well before the end of the month.
